ビアンキ、デロンギに続き、またもや Made in Italy。
オロビアンコのマルペンサをゲットしました。
どうもイタリアンデザインが好きみたいです。
皮の部分と千鳥格子がかなりセクシー。
少しずつ涼しくなってきたし、ビアンキのお伴になりそうです。

I got an item made in Italy following Bianchi and De’Longhi – Orobianco’s Malpensa.
I think I like Italian design.
The leather parts and houndstooth check are pretty cool.
As it is getting colder, I will always bring this backpack when I ride my bicycle, Bianchi Cielo.

ついにパソコン買い替えました。
Windows 7 でデュアルディスプレイ。
CPU は Intel Core i7 でサクサク。
これで仕事の効率があがりそうです。

Finally I got a new desktop PC.
Windows 7 with dual monitor.
CUP is Intel’s Corei7, so fast!
I think it makes me work more efficiently.

2003年以来の Summer Sonic。
13日の大阪公演に行ってきました。
いやぁ、この日は暑かった。
暑さと寝不足とアルコールで倒れそうになりました・・・。

今年のお目当ては Jon Spencer Blues Explosion と Red Hot Chili Peppers。
ジョンスペは身体のキレは衰えたものの、相変わらずロックなおっさんでした。

そして John の脱退したレッチリ。
新加入したギタリスト、Josh Klinghoffer はまだまだメンバーと息が合っているとは言い難いですが、ギターの腕はさすが。
コーラスは John にはまだまだ及ばないようですが。
これからに期待。
セットリストはかなりいい感じでしたね。

鉄板の名曲の数々と新曲を3曲。
I Like Dirt を演ってくれたのが嬉しかったですね。
3回目にして初めて聴けました。

新曲は変拍子が入ったりして、やはり今までとすこし雰囲気が変わった模様。
けど Flea のベースが今まで以上に際立って、個人的には好きですが。

さて、レッチリは8月30日にニューアルバム 「I’m with You」 をリリースします。
今回演奏した3曲もバッチリ入っています。
楽しみですね。

Summer Sonic for the first time since 2003.
I went to Summer Sonic 2011 in Osaka on the 13th, August – day 1.
That day was so hot.
I was almost dying because of the heat, lack of sleep and alcohol.

The bands I wanted to see this year were Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Jon Spencer’s strength might be failing, but he still rocks!

And Red Hot Chili Peppers which John Frusciante has left.
The new guitarist, Josh Klinghoffer did not fit the band yet but his guitar skill was great.
The chorus was not as good as John though.
I’m looking forward to his great strides.

The set list was pretty good.

They played their masterpieces and three new songs.
I was happy to listen to “I Like Dirt”, which was the first time in last three gigs.

The new songs were little bit different from the ones before – like the irregular meter.
However, these songs make Flea’s bass stand out more than before, so I like them.

By the way, Chili Peppers will release their new album called “I’m with You”.
The three songs they played in the gig are recorded in this album.
I can’t wait!

広島の原爆投下から66年。
今年の8月は今までより平和について考えさせられました。

広島の平和記念式典に初出席。
世界各国から、大人から子供まで、この式典に出席し、平和を祈る光景。
もう二度とこんな悲劇を起こしませんように。

式典の後は、Project NOW! の手掛ける アートブックの原画展 「Hiroshima 2011.8.4-7 マチナカ、アートジャック」 へ。
平和を思い描いた作品の数々、素晴らしかったです。

そして8月6日とうろう流しへ。
原爆ドームをバックに、川面にとうろうの灯りが煌々輝く幻想的な光景。
平和の祈りが込められたとうろう、届いて欲しいですね。

さて、8月8日には WELCOME HIROSHIMA 主催で、外国人向けの英語による原爆の語り部を行いました。
語りは松島 圭次郎 さん。
元英語教師の松島さんは流暢な英語で自らの経験を語ってくれました。

印象に残ったのは、アメリカに対しての松島さんの印象。
「憎んでいるのは核兵器そのもの、アメリカ人はフレンドリーだし好きですよ。」

広島在住の外国人、外国人観光客の方々にも多数参加していただき、充実した会にすることができました。
松島さん、同時通訳で進行をしていただいた小松さん、参加者のみなさん、ギャラリーテングスクエアさん、どうもありがとうございました。

66 years has passed since the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima.
This August, I thought about the “PEACE” more than I had before.

I attended the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony for the first time.
People from all over the world, from kids to adults, were all praying for peace.
We hope such a tragedy can never happen again.

After the ceremony, I went to “Hiroshima 2011.8.4-8.7 Downtown Art-Jack” – Artbook “NOW!” Exhibition of the original works – by the Project NOW!.
Art works with images of peace were amazing.

Then I went to see Toro Nagashi – floating paper lanterns down a river.
It was a fantastic site the surface of the river was brilliantly illuminated with the lanterns.
I want all the prayers in the lantern to reach.

On the August 8th, WELCOME HIROSHIMA presented a peace event called “Kataribe”, real story by an atomic bomb victim in English.
The storyteller was Keijiro Matsushima.
Mr. Matsushima who used to be an English teacher told his own experience with his fluent English.

The most impressive words of him were his impression about America.
“I hate atomic bomb itself. I don’t hate American. They are friendly so I like them.”

Many foreign residents in Hiroshima and foreign tourists came to the event and it was great session.
I really appreciate Mr. Matsushima, Komatsu-san who presided and translated at the session, all the participants and the Gallery Tengu Square.
